The dawning of a new era: The Alpine State

I have moved further into the Alps to Carinthia, Austria to be specific. I will be posting my photos and experiences at The Alpine State from now on. The format is slightly different. More compact with greater focus. If you like this blog, you'll probably like this one too.

Please join me and follow me at The Alpine State.

I will probably still post here from time to time when my travels do not fit the format of The Alpine State.

Thank you for your support! I truly appreciate it.

Tolmin and the Soča Valley, Slovenia

These photos are from my last road trip, which was mid-June last year so it's been awhile. I drove through the Soča Valley in Slovenia on the way to Croatia again, this time stopping to do a little exploring. I went to the Tolmin Gorge near the border of Italy. It was a gorgeous morning after a pretty terrible first day full of cold and rainy conditions.

Fun with shadows on the rooftop.
You can still spot Marshall Tito everywhere in Croatia
